More about Liberties College

The Bayno was founded in 1909 and was originally known as the Iveagh Play Centre. This was the centerpiece of the renewal scheme instituted by the Guinness family to reinvigorate the surrounding tenement area. Eventually the Bayno closed in 1970 but was later reopened as a vocational school and now houses Liberties College.
