Bernie O shea
Moore Street

Bernie is a charming and hilarious character who's worked on Moore St for nearly 60 years. Here she tells stories of Brendan Behan, street characters, Hollywood stars and chocolate. Moore street is an old market street in Dublin, which has lately changed dramatically from a very 'old dub' street to a lively multicultural one. It has a reputation for charming and witty stall owners, but even among them Bernie is well known for her fast talk and wit.

More about Bernie O shea

Bernie is a brilliant wit who has worked on Moore Street nearly all her life. She maintains the great tradition of engaging every customer in an hilarious conversation. Even arranging to film led us to being jokily threatened that we'd have our shins kicked in, that Andy was lovely and as tall as John Wayne, and that if we didn't give her a dvd we'd never go to heaven. If you ever go to Dublin be sure to buy some chocolate off Bernie.
